Viticulture Wine Bar on Alexander Street in downtown Rochester was open for less than a week before New York was put on pause and it was forced to close its doors due to COVID-related safety concerns.
Now, they're back in business and owner Courntey Benson says it's going great so far. Viticulture's menu offers food options to pair with their extensive wine list. This helps them comply with New York State's recent mandate that bar patrons must order food with their drinks in order to prevent large congregations from forming at bars.
Viticulutre participated in Rochester's first Black Restaurant Week earlier this month, and Benson hopes that the momentum from that event will create more support for Black-owned businesses in our community going forward.
