ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— The driver charged for a deadly crash in Greece last year has been indicted.

According to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, Christopher Moody, 31, was in Greece Town Court, where he was indicted on charges running from manslaughter in the second degree, vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and operator leave the scene of an incident resulting in death.

Police say Moody hit and killed Lisa Dambra as she walked on the sidewalk on Dewey Avenue just north of Stone Road on Dec.11.

Legal documents from Greece Town Court say Moody had been driving more than 70 miles an hour in a 35 zone, that he had been smoking marijuana just over a half an hour earlier, and then he was using his phone as he drove up Dewey and ran off the road. Police say Moody then ran from the scene but was later caught.

In addition to the crash-related charges, Moody was indicted on three counts of driving while ability impaired by drugs, and one count of driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of drugs or of alcohol and any drug or drugs.

Records show Moody is in the Monroe County Jail.
