Fairport graduate murdered by husband in Arizona

TEMPE, AZ (WHEC) — A Fairport graduate was killed in Arizona on Friday.
Police say Colleen Hoopes was shot and killed by her husband.
Christopher Hoopes told dispatchers in Tempe, Arizona that he woke up, was startled by his wife and shot her.
He’s now charged with murder. The family of Colleen Hoopes released pictures of their daughter tonight.
Colleen was 25-years-old.
Her family says she was a ballet dancer—and the kindest, most generous person. They’re establishing a scholarship fund at the Draper Center for Dance Education in Rochester in her memory.
