ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A fire at a Rochester auto repair shop is under investigation Saturday night.

The fire broke out shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Lyell Avenue as people were working inside the shop.

The battalion chief on scene says that flammable liquids and paints inside the shop caused a few minor explosions.

Fire crews don't know where exactly in the building the fire started, but they were able to put it out within about 45 minutes. Their efforts were hindered by the winter weather.

"We were hampered a bit by a frozen hydrant in the area here," said the battalion chief. "So at one point we had to back our people out for a second before we regained water and could get back in there."

No one was hurt in the incident.
