IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County District Attorney said there is enough information to charge Seth Larson with the murder of his girlfriend, Lisa Shuler.

Larson was booked into a West Virginia prison Thursday afternoon. Larsen was Shuler's boyfriend and the person of interest in her murder

Shuler's colleagues in the nursing community say she would have graduated with her LPN in the fall, they say she was someone they could always count on.

“We talked about everything together and even if we weren't here or at clinical we were still talking about our dogs and everything she was a really good friend and when I found out what happened last week my heart completely shrunk,” said Kayleigh Storms, a CAN student who says she worked and studied with Shuler almost every day.

Shuler was going to the Isabella Graham Hart School of Nursing. She spent a lot of time studying and taking classes at the College of Health Careers in Irondequoit.

Her study buddies said "she always had something smart to say" and "she was always cracking a joke to put a smile on someone’s face”.

The nursing program held a bubble release in her honor Thursday, and each friend with a different story to tell.

"I'm at a loss of words for how great of a person she was genuine, always had your back, if you were going through a hard time she would put her troubles aside to be there for you,” Storms added.

Friends tell us that Shuler was an avid animal lover and that they’ll hold a toy drive and donate the proceeds to Lollipop Farm in her honor. Neighbors say Shuler’s family is in their thoughts and prayers.

"It's a terrible situation especially for her and her family, I can't imagine how they feel,” Bill Bradley told News10NBC.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia said Larson was arrested after seeking medical attention. They say he was staying in a hotel. That room and his vehicle are still being searched for evidence. Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley said the State of New York is prepared to charge Larson with Lisa’s murder.

"Based on the medical examiner's preliminary findings we are ready to file the murder charges,” Doorley said.

Larson is labeled as a fugitive, so extradition back to New York could take up to 30 days.
