Gates and Chili participating in Stop the Violence rally Thursday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The towns of Gates and Chili are joining Uniting and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County’s Stop the Violence initiative for a rally Thursday.

The plan is to start assembling around 5:45 p.m. at the former Chili senior center at 3235 Chili Ave. for a march down Chili Avenue.

There will be an opportunity for a community discussion after the march.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Uniting and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County has held marches and community conversations in the city in the past few months, but has since expanded its efforts to include more suburban areas.

Last week, the group held a march that began in Henrietta and ended at Monroe Community College.
