GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police in Gates Tuesday issued a warning about burglaries and thefts this holiday season.
In a Facebook post, the department said a front tire was recently taken off a car that was sitting in a driveway on Matilda Street.
Right now Monroe County is seeing an increase in residential burglaries.
The department advised anyone with high-value package deliveries to make sure someone is keeping an eye on them if they show up while you're not home.
There will be extra patrols around town.
