ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— One of Rochester’s holiday traditions is back and in person after almost two years, and you can now get your hands on tickets.

Geva Theatre Center’s "A Christmas Carol” will return to the Wilson Stage this holiday season, with more than 30 performances, and Monday was its annual one-day sale for tickets.

The theatre has staged adaptations of the beloved holiday tale since 1985 –but they were forced to cancel last year’s live theatrical production due to the pandemic.

Organizers say the phones have already been off the hook.

"Coming out of the pandemic, I think the entire community is ready and needing this story of redemption and transformation," Artistic Director Mark Cuddy said. "I think it’s going to be quite a celebration during the performances."
