ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gilda's Club Rochester is a local non-profit which offers social and emotional support for people with cancer and their families, and COVID-19 hasn't stopped them from delivering vital services to the community.

CEO Melinda Merante says she and her team have redireted their efforts toward facilitating online programming for their members. Current offerings include nutrition programs like Pantry Cooking with Gilda's, as well as yoga, art classes, and support group meetings via Zoom.

Gilda's club will also be re-launching its signature "Ask The Expert" series on Tuesday, May 26 at noon -- it's a program presented in partnership with the URMC Wilmot Cancer Center which gives members a chance to hear directly from medical professionals and ask questions about living with cancer during COVID-19.
