Greece Police car hits U of R students

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two University of Rochester students were taken to the hospital after being hit by a Greece police car Monday afternoon.

Rochester Police responded around 2:45 p.m. to the area of Elmwood Avenue and Kendrick Road for the report of a crash involving two pedestrians and a police car.

Upon arrival, officers found two women, both 18 years old, that were hit by a police car from the Town of Greece that veered off Elmwood Avenue at Kendrick Road.

Police say the two U of R students were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
