HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Voters in the Henrietta Fire District voted for a new fire station Tuesday night.
The proposal passed 709 to 206.
The district says it hopes to begin the bid process and have ground broken in early spring.
The proposed new firehouse on Erie Station Road is designed to better protect the southwest side of town and would house firefighters 24-7.
According to their website, the maximum bond cost is expected to be 16 cents per $1,000 of the assessed value of the property per year. The cap would be $24 a year for $150,000 home.
