News10NBC has updated this article to reflect the Irondequoit Police Department's corrected spelling of Lisa Shuler's name.

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Irondequoit Police have identified a person of interest, as well as the victim into what they're calling a suspicious death at a home on Culver Road near Emily Street.

Police Thursday identified the victim as Lisa Shuler, 37, of Irondequoit. Police say she lived at the house where she was found with her boyfriend, Seth Larson. Records show he is the owner of the home.

Police are searching for Seth Larson, 40. Police describe him as a white man of medium build who is about 5'9" and has tattoos on both forearms. Police say he has a shaved head and drives a blue 2011 Nissan Juke with New York plates FTP6756.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the location of Seth Larson is asked to call Irondequoit Police Department at 585-336-6000 ext. 2200 or 911 and ask for the on-duty Irondequoit Police supervisor. Tips can also be sent anonymously to CrimeStoppers online.

IPD Chief Alan Laird told News10NBC officers originally went to the scene Tuesday night around 5 p.m. for a welfare check at the home where Laird said they found Shuler's body, outside.

Laird said a family friend called police because they hadn't heard from Shuler "in a few days."

Multiple IPD cruisers and a Monroe County Medical Examiner unit were on the scene at the back of the home Wednesday morning, and used a drone to search the property that day. Police have crime scene tape set up around the outside of the home. They have been at the house investigating for more than 48 hours.

Neighbors described a similar story to News10NBC Chief Investigative Reporter Berkeley Brean.

"I was taking my dogs for a walk and a woman came by asking if I had seen the residents that lived over there, I guess she called the police to do a check on them," Richard Vitello said. "Later that evening police showed up they were pretty tightlipped didn't tell me much. So I'm still kind of wondering what's going on."

A neighbor also told Brean three adults live in the house.

One neighbor also reported hearing popping sounds, but said that was Sunday night.

News10NBC Investigative Reporter Berkely Brean spoke with Jen Gutowski, a woman who works at a corner store half a block from the home who says she knows Larson.

Gutowski: "The Seth I know seems like a nice guy, comes in from time to time to grab his coffee and a couple of drinks after work."

Brean: "When is the last time you remember seeing him?"

Gutowski: "The last time would have been just last week he stopped in."

Brean: "Everything seemed normal?"

Gutowski: "Everything seemed normal. Actually, it seemed like he was doing really well. He was in a good mood."

Police are still working to find out how Shuler died. Police say they will not release more information at this time due to the active nature of the investigation.
