BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — Friday is the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
Normally, residents at the Jewish Home of Rochester would kick off the high holidays with big gatherings, but because of the coronavirus, that's not possible.
So, the senior care facility did something different: A Rosh Hashanah car parade.
Residents watched outside and safely distanced as their families, rabbis and first responders paraded by Thursday morning.
A group of high school volunteers even helped them make signs to wave during the event.
