Joe Morelle Jr. lays out small business plan in run for Irondequoit town supervisor

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Current Monroe county Legislator and candidate to become Irondequoit’s next town supervisor Joe Morelle Jr. Wednesday laid out his plan for small businesses there.

He said he wants to use $3 million to help industries hit the hardest by the pandemic, including the hospitality and tourism industries.

The money would be used for support for independent restaurants, property tax rebates, and grants for businesses looking to relocate to vacated locations.

Morelle said the money would come from the federal American Rescue Plan and pledged to make it available within his first month of office, should he win.
