Hussein and his family moved to Rochester from Yemen about five years ago. He said the shop had been closed down for coronavirus and they were excited, planning and getting ready for phase two of reopening.

Hussein said because of the looting they’re out of at least six figures worth of merchandise. He said that years of hard work were wiped out within minutes.

“It was just heartbreaking to see everything we built getting token away within seconds it was literally over 200 people in this store running in and out it's just. it's crazy it's real crazy,” Hussein said.

The family said they hope they can salvage what’s left of this business but said they are waiting to hear back from their insurance company and now there’s a chance that they might not reopen.
