Major Crimes Unit asking for information in February homicide investigation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is asking for help in an investigation into a homicide that happened back in February.

On Feb. 1, 2021, Tyshawn McConniughey, 23, was killed in a quadruple shooting that happened just before 10:30 p.m. at 424 Lyell Avenue.

The other victims, one woman and two men, were both injured. The woman was found at the scene and the two men showed up at the hospital.

The Major Crimes Unit released photos Wednesday, asking that anyone who recognizes the person in them, who they believe was in the area at the time of the shooting, identify them.
