ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police Tuesday announced an arrest in a deadly hit and run that happened on Genesee Street back in August.
It happened on Aug. 4. Twenty-year-old MacMichael Conner of Rochester was killed and Thirty-year-old Malcolm Henry of Rochester sustained a head injury.
Police say their investigation revealed that Conner and Henry were driving down Genesee Street at a high rate of speed when they both lost control of their motorcycles, crashed and were thrown.
Conner was hit by a vehicle that was headed north on Genesee Street and kept going. Police said at the time he was dragged several feet.
Rick Lilly, 37, of Brockport was taken into custody on Tuesday by the United States Marshals Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force.
Lily was charged with felony fleeing the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident and police say a grand jury may consider additional charges.
He was remanded to the Monroe County Jail and is due back in court on Wednesday morning.
