ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man has been convicted on several child sex abuse charges after what prosecutors say was years of abuse.
Anthony Johnson, 45, was convicted on two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, first degree criminal sexual act, three counts of second degree criminal sexual act, second degree rape, third degree criminal sexual act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors say two children were abused between December 2014 and October 2019.
Johnson was also convicted of second degree assault in connection to an incident that happened on Oct. 8, 2019, when Johnson hit a separate victim over the head with a 20-pound dumbbell.
Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced on May 19. He faces a maximum of 50 years to life in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.
