ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man is in critical condition and two women were taken to the hospital after a crash on the northwest side of Rochester.
Police say it happened at around 8:30 p.m. between a Chevy sedan traveling northbound on Lake Avenue and a Mazda SUV traveling southbound when the Mazda attempted to make a left onto Burley Road.
Police say the Chevy sturck the Mazda, causing the Mazda to flip on its side. The driver of the Mazda fled the scene and has not been located yet according to police.
A passenger of the Mazda stayed on scene and she complained of back pain, the 27-year-old city resident was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR.
Police say a 30-year-old woman was driving the Chevy, and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR after reporting leg pain.
A 31-year-old man was a passenger in the Chevy. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR with a head injury. He is in critical condition.
Police say the woman driving the Chevy had a valid license, and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
