Man pleads guilty to manslaughter in deadly shooting and robbery from September 2019

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man Wednesday pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in connection to the shooting death of another man on Rochester's east side in September 2019.

Devonte Bouie, 24, stole money from James Green on McKinley Street in Rochester on Sept. 7, 2019, and during the robbery, he shot Green in the chest, killing him.

Bouie was arrested on Feb. 17, 2020.

The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says Bouie will be sentenced to 20 years in prison with five years post-release supervision.

Bouie is scheduled to be sentenced on May 19.
