ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Within a span of half an hour, Rochester Police are investigating after a separate, unrelated shooting occurred Saturday afternoon in the City of Rochester.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., law enforcement received a call for a male shot in the 100 block of Cady Street.

According to police, upon arrival, officers found a man who had at least one gunshot wound to his body. The gunshot victim, a 31-year-old city resident, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Cady Street was blocked from Jefferson Avenue to Reynolds Street.
