Man shot in Rochester’s west side in second, separate and unrelated shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Within a span of half an hour, Rochester Police are investigating after a separate, unrelated shooting occurred Saturday afternoon in the City of Rochester.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., law enforcement received a call for a male shot in the 100 block of Cady Street.

According to police, upon arrival, officers found a man who had at least one gunshot wound to his body. The gunshot victim, a 31-year-old city resident, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Cady Street was blocked from Jefferson Avenue to Reynolds Street.

This is still an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
