ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Mayor Lovely Warren and County Executive Adam Bello introduced a "pods" system for coronavirus vaccine appointments on Saturday.

It's part of an effort in the City of Rochester to try to get more people vaccinated by getting the shots out to them.

The four pods, specific to certain zip codes, will serve people in underserved neighborhoods 16 and up.

"We know that black and brown communities are affected by COVID at alarming rates. We know that our numbers continue to go up. And we need to make sure that we're doing everything that we can to get vaccinated but to have our loved ones vaccinated," Warren said. "I've been vaccinated, now it's your turn."

The appointments can be set up over the course of the next three weeks.
