ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe Community College says it will give laptops to more than 200 of its students for free so they can graduate.

MCC says last week, more than 500 students responded to a survey about their technology needs, and one of the most frequently mentioned issues were laptop needs and WiFi access.

The laptops will be provided at no cost to those who demonstrated need based on their financial aid records.

With social distancing in mind, the college says it will hand the laptops out on a staggered schedule during the next week.
