ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) —The Memorial Art Gallery has been taking its celebration of Black History Month online with speakers and performances.

On Sunday, the speaker was News10NBC's own Deanna Dewberry, who spoke about how this year's event was being done virtually but still could have a big impact.

"This is the first time we've gotten to do this virtually," she said. "We know that every year this event is huge, it's just huge. I mean last year was thousands and thousands of people. I got the great pleasure of modeling the fashion show and this year, we have the joy of doing it virtually and that IS a joy. Because the hope is is that perhaps some folks who would not be able to get out in the snow and get to the MAG will be able to enjoy this event."

The day ended with a live concert from local R&B performer and public defender Danielle Ponder.
