Monroe County DMVs begin scheduling limited appointments Tuesday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County DMVs will begin scheduling appointments on Tuesday for limited services.

The DMVs will reopen for the following services by appointment only starting Thursday:

  • Applying for a CDL permit.
  • Exchanging an out-of-state license.
  • Applications to upgrade to a REAL ID, enhanced license or non-driver ID.
  • License amendments other than address changes.
  • Registration amendments other than address changes.
  • Insurance lapse corrections.

The branches in Rochester, Irondequoit and Henrietta will reopen Thursday, but the Greece location will remain closed as it is inside a mall.

Walk-ins will not be allowed, and people with appointments must be temperature screened and wear a face covering.
