Monroe County golf courses reopen 'fore' the season

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County-run golf courses are reopening for the season Tuesday.

The golf courses at Durand Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville will officially open, while  Pro shop access started Monday. Driving ranges will be opening as conditions permit.

The following COVID-19 precautions will be in place:

  • Masks will be required in the pro shop.
  • Six feet social distancing, including a ban on shaking hands or high-fiving.
  • A ban on equipment sharing.
  • Golf ball washers will not be available.
  • Golfers are asked to bring their own hand sanitizer.
  • Golfers are asked not to collect lost golf balls.

Tee times can be booked online.
