ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— The Monroe County Department of Health has launched a new tool to connect healthcare workers to the COVID-19 vaccine.

The county has its website up, where workers can register themselves at a vaccine site. Right now, the only location listed is the county's Fleet Center on Paul Road, and as of this week, all appointments are booked.

A reminder, the tool is meant for healthcare workers only.

Elsewhere, the state, and at least one healthcare system in the region has started Phase 1b of vaccinations, which has been expanded to people 75 years and up, among others. The state has its own website for vaccines. In addition to the website, a call center went live Monday afternoon. The number is (833) NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829) The state is expecting a high call volume.
