ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — With one day left of early voting in New York, Monroe County reports nearly 20% of voters have showed up to the polls so far.

The county’s board of elections says nearly 95,000 votes have been cast since last Saturday, which is about 18% of registered voters, and when combined with absentee ballots, the total grows to 35.5%. This includes a reported 9,447 voters Saturday.

In Rochester and in Chili Saturday, News10NBC crews reported some of the lines were much shorter than they were at their peak earlier in the process.

The BOE estimates 45% of registered Monroe County voters will cast their ballots before Election Day.
