ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Scores of people flooded the Rochester Public Market on Saturday, just as some city leaders anticipated with the holiday.
Market staff asked people to keep their trips short and efficient in order to allow vendors to serve them while keeping everyone safe.
"As long as everybody stays respectful and respect their distance with everybody and doesn't touch everything because somebody else is coming behind you, that is really what counts," said Anthony Shellman of Bottom Line Produce.
Market staff asked people to send only one member of the household to shop and urged everyone to avoid crowding and congregating.
News10NBC crews found that most people at the market were wearing protective masks.
