ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — National Grid’s three-year rate hike plan was approved, but the New York Public Service Commission slashed the request by more than one-third.

The average electric customer will see a monthly bill increase of about $1.88 in the first two years and $2.23 in year three.

The average gas customer will notice roughly $1.51 more in the first year and a $2.56 increase by the third.

If you get your power from National Grid, you could be seeing a bigger bill by July 1.
