ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – After a COVID-related delay, a second Donuts Delite location has opened on Rochester’s west side.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday afternoon for the new spot at 674 W. Ridge Rd. It will offer take-out, dine-in and delivery county-wide from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

As News10NBC had previously reported, the store had run into delays and supply chain issues during the pandemic.

The Salvatore’s Pizza Family bought the landmark in 2009 from the Malley Family. The founder of Donuts Delite, Robert "Bob" Malley died late last year at the age of 86.

Malley and his family opened the iconic donut store on Culver Road back in 1958. The Malleys ran it until 2005. In 2009, the Salvatore’s Pizza family re-opened it with Malley’s blessing, sharing his original recipes.
