ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — More information on a new police reform effort is expected to be released on Monday.
That's the day the Monroe County Alliance for Transformation of Community and Police will be officially introduced at a press conference.
The effort is the result of a collaboration between area faith and community leaders as well as local police departments, including the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Rochester Police Department.
The group says the mission is to transform traditional law enforcement to community policing.
The press conference will be held at Helping Hands Missionary Baptist on Joseph Avenue at 3 p.m.
