ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — There’s a new woman at the helm of the Rochester City School District. Superintendent Dr. Lesli Myers-Small is walking into a district in crisis.

RCSD is millions of dollars in the red, the state has appointed a fiscal and educational monitor to oversee it, and the last superintendent walked out the door after less than a year on the job. 

On Friday, Myers-Small went one-on-one with News10NBC Investigative Reporter Jennifer Lewke to talk about why she took the job, what she’s hoping to achieve, and how she plans to do it.
