ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Another federal lawsuit has been filed against Hilton Elementary School Principal Kirk Ashton.

Ashton is accused of sexually abusing young boys who were students at Northwood Elementary School. He was arrested back in April.

The lawsuit names Ashton, the school district, and the elementary school. It claims Ashton sexually assaulted and abused two victims during "lunch bunch" meetings.

The lawsuit says over several years, Ashton had the victims sit on his lap – and inappropriately touched them. The suit says the district and school failed to maintain a safe environment for students, and demands a jury trial, and millions in damages.

This is yet another federal lawsuit filed against Ashton. Multiple families have filed notices of claim.

Ashton remains in jail, where he’s facing 28 criminal charges. He was placed on administrative leave on April 8.
