ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — City and County officials confirm to News10NBC there will not be a curfew Monday night in Rochester or the rest of Monroe County.
The added state police presence will remain in place as a precaution after peaceful protests turned violent in Rochester, leading to chaos in the streets.
There will not be a curfew in Monroe County tonight. As a precautionary measure, there will still be an additional law enforcement presence to ensure the safety and security of our neighborhoods.— Adam J. Bello (@CountyExecBello) June 1, 2020
A curfew was in effect Saturday and Sunday nights in the city due to the violence.
