ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A New Jersey man is facing charges following a deadly hit-and-run crash on I-90.
Quentin Campbell, of New Jersey, is charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
The crash happened on I-90 between exits 46 in Henrietta and 47 in LeRoy around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 4. Troopers say Campbell tried to make a U-turn while driving a semi on the Thruway when another vehicle drove under the tractor-trailer.
According to crews, the second vehicle had gone 100 feet off of the Thruway. The driver and passenger both died.
According to the criminal complaint, the victims are Jerry Drake and Krista Strickland.
Campbell was extradited from New Jersey and arraigned in the Town of Wheatland Court. He is in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
Campbell is due back in court on Oct. 21.
