ONTARIO, N.Y. (WHEC) — A family of four were all injured and a parolee is facing charges after a crash on Route 104 Friday evening.

Troopers say it all started at around 4:10 p.m. when a state police investigator attempted to pull over a grand larceny suspect on the westbound side of the road near Lincoln Road in Ontario, Wayne County.

They say the suspect, Tamiya Jackson, 30, of Rochester, failed to stop when the investigator turned on his lights and siren. Troopers say the investigator immediately turned off his lights and sirens and continued westbound with them both off, then later saw a crash at Monroe-Wayne County Line Road.

Police say Jackson drove through a red light and hit an SUV with a family of four inside. One adult and three children were taken to the hospital, some with serious injuries. State police say their names will be released Saturday.

Troopers say Jackson is also being treated for injuries and is facing several charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
