ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating two overnight incidents.

The first happened on Magnolia Street, News10NBC's crew at the scene saw at least 10 police cars and an ambulance on standby.

The road was closed between Genesee Street and Jefferson Avenue for several hours Thursday night but has since reopened.

A  few hours later on, police were seen surrounding a home on Emerson Street near Dewey Avenue.

RPD tells us they responded to the area around 1:45 a.m. for a shot spotter activation and shots fired call. At the scene, police learned at least one gunshot was fired outside of the home, but nobody was hurt, and nothing got hit by a bullet.

Officers at the scene told us they noticed questionable activity at a house on the street, that's when police surrounded the home and later detained two people.

Nobody has been charged in either incident.

This is a developing story. Tune in to News10NBC Today or check back later for updates.
