ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A car crashed into a local business Tuesday night.

It happened on North Goodman Street, near Central Park, around 9:30 p.m.

Officers say the driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The building has significant damage. News10NBC talked to the owner Mike Aqil who said he’s had a pretty rough go of it recently.

“You know we are in a war zone,” Aqil said. “Everyday the alarm call in, something happens. ADT know me by name now, I know the operators. It’s just Rochester man. It’s another story to write for 2020 in Rochester.”

Currently, the driver isn’t facing charges.
