Police investigating stabbing on the city's northside

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took place on the city's northside on Saturday night. 

Police say a 34-year-old Rochester man walked into Rochester General Hospital with a stab wound around 7:40 p.m. The man sustained a minor cut to his lower torso during a physical confrontation with at least one other person. The man reports that the stabbing occurred near the corner of Hollenbeck and Norton Street.


The man's injuries are considered non-life threatening and no one is in custody at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing.
