Police: Man killed in motorcycle crash on Genesee Street, police looking for vehicle

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police say a portion of Genesee Street is back open after a man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the city’s southwest side Wednesday morning.

Police went to the scene on Genesee near Frost Avenue around 1 a.m. When they got there, officers found two motorcycles crashed. Police say both motorcycles were heading south on Genesee which both riders lost control of their motorcycles and were thrown from them.

The rider who was killed was struck by a passing vehicle that was heading north on Genesee. Police say the rider, who has not been named, was dragged several feet by the car, which then drove off.

The other rider, who police identified as 30-year-old Malcolm Henry, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive. He was also charged with DWI and issued an appearance ticket.

Genesee Street, between Arnett Boulevard and Dr. Samuel McRee Way, was blocked off for several hours.
