ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police have made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting on Genesee Street earlier this month.

Police say 21-year old Troy Jones Tuesday was arrested on June 21 and charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Jones is accused of shooting and killing  Brandon McClary, 22, of Rochester on June 17 on the corner of Genesee and Sawyer Street. Police say Jones shot McClary multiple times.

Jones was arraigned at the Rochester City Court Wednesday morning where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Initially, police said multiple suspects fired shots at McClary but added nobody else in custody.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
