Police: Woman and teenager injured in stabbing on Avenue D

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A woman and a teenager are injured but expected to survive after a stabbing on Avenue D Tuesday morning.

It happened at 9 a.m. on the 400 block of Avenue D.

Police say responding officers learned that a 17-year-old boy and a 41-year-old woman, both from Rochester, were stabbed in their upper bodies.

Both victims were taken to URMC by ambulance with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

Avenue D was closed between N. Clinton Avenue and Remington Street but have since reopened.

Police have not made any arrests and ask anyone with information to call 911.
