PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — Fall is just five days away and cooler fall-like temperatures will be here by this weekend.

Samantha LaRocca went out to Powers Farm Market to check out this year's pumpkin crop.

"The pumpkins look beautiful so far. We have had a very good growing season its been warmer then usual. Everything has been ripe a little bit early but I still think we are going to be alright. We space everything (our pumpkin planning) out quite a bit so we got some early stuff that is ready now and we got some later stuff that is just coming up now. But the pumpkins look great we got a really good variety this year we planted over 104-105 different varieties this year," said Ned Powers of Powers Farm Market.

After a hot summer with a lot of COVID-19 related restrictions, people are ready for some fall fun.

"Just being outdoors in cooler weather is really what I am looking forward to the most. Especially with our daughter some of the hot days in the summer we were cooped up inside trying to keep cool so this fall weather is perfect and I am excited to be out and do more walks and stuff like that," a customer at the farm market said.

The farm is running a little different since COVID-19.

"At the market we have done quiet a bit as much as obviously make it mandatory for everyone to wear face masks we kind of put out an outside tent to hopefully increase our sales area to help reduce the number inside and spread apart as much as we can the aisles in the market," Manager at Powers Farm Market Dan Skelton said.

Everyone at the farm market was wearing masks and there are hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations everywhere.

Though we have a potential for frost this weekend everything is already ripe and this should not damage the crop. Head out and get to picking!
