ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small has been accused of harassment by a Rochester City School District employee, School Board President Van White confirms.

White said the board met virtually Thursday evening and decided to hire an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation of the allegations.

He said the firm will start its investigation on Friday and report back to the board with its findings, and recommendations “framed by the law.”

White said of the decision that it’s “accepted practice to seek an outside investigation to ensure the facts are investigated in a neutral and detached way.”

A statement issues by the school board Friday clarified the internal complaint was filed by one district employee against the Superintendent and two other employees. No additional details were provided as to the nature of the complaint.
