RFD: Red Cross assisting 4 people with housing after fire on Langham Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four people are displaced after a house fire on Langham Street Saturday night. 

The Rochester Fire Department responded around 6:15 p.m. to a three-story house on Langham Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke coming out of the home. Crews entered the home and found a fire in the basement. 

Firefighters say they were able to quickly extinguish the fire and confine it to an exterior wall and the basement ceiling. 

All occupants were able to get out safely and no injuries were reported. 

The Red Cross is currently assisting four adults with temporary housing. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
