ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A United Airlines flight arriving in Rochester Thursday night had a few tense moments before landing without incident.
United Airlines 4363 from Newark was on its descent around 9:30 p.m. when the crew realized they couldn't extend the wing flaps, which help slow the plane during landing. It was declared an Alert 2.
There were 52 people on board.
The pilot was eventually able to land the plane without incident.
Airport firefighters checked for hot brakes, but say no other assistance was required.
