One of the most successful fringe festivals in the country, the Rochester Fringe Festival will look a little different this year.
Now in its eighth year, the festival will take place online September 15-26. Producer Erica Fee says that other cities have had great success hosting multi-arts performance festivals online.
One benefit of having it online? It can reach more people. Typically the festival is held at various performance spaces throughout downtown Rochester. This year, performers will stream their performances virtually and audiences will watch from their homes. Some performances are even specifically designed to be experienced online.
