Like many other events coming up, the Rochester International Film Festival is pivoting to take place online this year. It's the longest-running short film festival in the world, and it'll happen virtually June 21-27 this year, its 62nd year.
The festival will feature 28 short films, and they can be viewed at http://rochesterfilmfest.org/. Although this will be a first for the festival, the silver lining is that audiences from outside of the Rochester area will be able to view the films this year.
Festival organizer Josephine Perini connected with News10NBC this week to share details about the festival. Although this isn't how she originally envisioned this year's festival she says "we can't break our tradition."
