ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— The Rochester man accused of shooting and killing another man on Halloween was arraigned on a second-degree murder charge Tuesday.

Lance Bullard pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Police say Bullard shot and killed  31-year old David Yaw near the corner of Dewey Avenue and Knickerbocker Avenue sometime before 6:30 a.m.  Yaw was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers believe Yaw and Bullard got into an argument which then led to Bullard shooting Yaw.

Investigators were able to identify Bullard as a suspect, which led to them finding and arresting him in Akron, Ohio earlier in November.

Yaw's family was also at court Tuesday and say he was a good person and a good father.

"I wish all this violence would stop because people are leaving children, family members, and friends, and it's horrible," a family member said.

Bullard is due back in court on Friday.
